“According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way a bee should be able to fly. It’s wings are too small to get its fat little body off the ground. The bee, of course, flies anyway, because bees don’t care what humans think is impossible.”
~The Bee Movie
Welcome all
Beekeepers and those wanting to be a beekeeper are welcome to join us. Our club is focused on educating and helping the back yard beekeeper manage their hives using the Best management practices developed by the University of Florida.
Education
We give various classes and pass along information from the state Association and the University during our monthly meetings to assist beekeepers in staying educated. We recommend beekeepers continue to educate themselves through various reading material or attending classes.
Beekeeping
Beekeeping can be a very enjoyable hobby supplying your family with fresh honey year round. However, beekeeping requires year-round management of your hives to control various pest and health issues that can arise. We can help you understand these requirements and guide you through them.
