Meeting Minutes
The meeting was called to order at 1900.
Members present:
John Green (president), James Morris (vice president), Chris Liddle (secretary), Teresa Helms (treasurer),
Amber Pippin (member) We do not have a quorum for this meeting.
Meeting held indoors. Masks are optional as required by the venue. Social distancing continues.
Treasurer Report: There is $1797.60 in the TBA account at Regions Bank. Treasurer accepted dues from those present
Secretary Report: November Minutes were sent out to general membership for review. No comments received. Minutes approved as written.
Old Business:
1. Website/Facebook page: Not addressed, no quorum (Open)
2. Bee Phone: Not addressed, no quorum (Open)
3. Loan Locker: Not addressed, no quorum (Open)
4. Christmas Party: This was canceled a few days before the party date, due to only 2 RSVPs that were going to attend. People sick with covid. (Closed)
Information:
Members present discussed beekeeping. James Morris recommends the book “Swarm Traps and Bait Hives” by McCartney Taylor. He recommends people setting out swarm traps by the end of this month if possible. He will be doing a presentation on swarm traps and forcing a swarm at the February meeting.

Board Meeting Minutes
The meeting was called to order at 1815.
Members present:
John Green (president), James Morris (vice president), Chris Liddle (secretary)
Minutes: Minutes of November 2020 were sent to the board members and general membership. Approved as written.
Old Business:
1. Website/FaceBook page: The website and Facebook page run by Dennis Riggs has been allowed to lapse. Secretary will contact Fern Compton regarding website and Facebook page changes from panhandle beekeeper’s association, back to tupelo beekeeper’s association and if she will run/moderate them. Fern is going to be moving due to her husband’s transfer with the Air Force. (open)
2. Bylaws: New bylaws were voted approved by the membership at the November meeting. New officers were voted in for a one year term. Secretary to contact the previous VP to find out how to remove the watermark from the draft bylaws and then they will be sent out and posted. Membership voted for full dues to be paid for part of the year since they are only $15/year. (closed)
3. Sheriff payment reimbursement: Discussed by the newly elected board. Voted unanimously to not reimburse for the sheriff.
New Business:
1. Field Day/Earth Day: Discussion of what we need to do for field day and earth day. Things are difficult right now due to the coronavirus. Not sure if we will be able to hold/participate in either. James Morris Said he could bring a trailer of bees for field day and present. (open)
2. Monthly Beekeeping presentation: Discussion regarding education and monthly presentations at the club meetings. James Morris appointed to be in charge of either giving presentations monthly or arranging a presenter. James is now in charge of education for the club. He welcomes input from the rest of the board, as well as the club membership. February’s presentation will be on making a swarm trap and how to force a swarm.
