Member Meeting Minutes
Meeting was called to order at 1900.

Secretary Report: None
Treasurer Report: There is $1655.33 in the TBA account.
Old Business:
1. FSU PC Biology Department requested five 2 oz. samples of honey from around the area. They will be doing DNA testing for pollen to see where the bees are collecting it from. They may be requesting more samples for the next semester. Results will be presented at the FSU PC Student Research Symposium: April 19 ~9am-12pm (*it’s a come and go type of thing).
2. The Master Beekeeping Program is highly recommended. Please check out their website. There are other on-line honey bee learning short courses, some are FREE. https://entnemdept.ufl.edu/honey-bee
3. Summer Bee College, FSU-PC, Dates August 23 – 24 Will be looking for volunteers then.
New Business:
1. Paula Davis is looking for volunteers to give a presentation of reading a book on bees, to children. The name of the book is: The Work of the Wings. This is an Agricultural Literacy book. 2. C. M. Kidd Harris Park Support – Sam Mello needs help with the bee hive. Mark Wolf will help mentor. This a good resource for hands on learning in public. Field Day will be announced in the future.
3. University Academy will receive a presentation of Honey Bees in April. The Friends of St. Andrews State Park has requested a presentation of Honey Bees for November. Stephen Revell will conduct the presentations.
