Meeting Minutes
Meeting was called to order at 1900.
Members present:
Skipper Turk (President), James Morris (VP), Betsy Straley (MAL), Tim Brehm (Treasurer), Chris Liddle (Secretary), Jack DePue, Charles Hay, Stephen Revell, Ron Greiner, William Fontaine, Jeff & Alisa Perry, Mark Wolf, Larry Cantu, Basel Rifaei, Emily Evans, Charlotte Cooper, Buddy Rich, Elizabeth Becton

Secretary Report: Aug 2022 Minutes were sent out to general membership for review. No corrections.
Minutes approved as written.
Treasurer Report: There is $1623.04 in the TBA account. Nothing pending.

Old Business:
1. Calendar:
September: Preparing for winter (goldenrod pops around the 11th, bee ready)
October: Jimmie Davis
November: Life cycle of the Honeybee, Election of new officers
December: Christmas Party
2. How to promote beekeeping to the local community: Discussion about how to get info/exposure at 4H/FFA. Possible support of a scholarship for students interested in entomology, Bozeman HS has a 4H program. There is a 4H agent at IFAS. Scott (IFAS liaison) will get this person in contact with Skipper. Buddy has an old flier for TBA. He will find it and look into updating the information, pictures etc to distribute. (open)

New Business:
1. Charles Cromer was voted as an administrator on the Facebook page/group. He will be working on linking the 2 pages and has been doing things to improve our social media presence. (closed)
2. September Florida Beekeeping Calendar (info)
3. Florida State Beekeeping Association is having an educational event for commercial and backyard beekeepers on October 7 2023. This will take place beginning at 0830 at the IFAS building in Marianna, Fl. Contact Elmore Herman (Millie Bees) for tickets or more information. Advance tickets are $30, $40 at the door. Everyone is encouraged to purchase advance tickets. Lunch will be provided. (info)
4. November Elections: The previous 2 elections resulted in no nominations or volunteers for board offices. The membership is encouraged to participate in the leadership of the club and consider running for an office. (open)
5. University of Florida Bee College will be held on Panama City Beach in the fall of 2024. Dates TBD. (open)

3. North Bay Haven School hives: Secretary followed up with the school. Will Thierren responded and has moved. The hives and equipment are no longer in the possession of the school. (closed)

1. Uiversity of Florida Bee College to take place in Panama City Beach in 2024. Dates TBD. (open)
2. Charles Cromer was made an administrator on the Facebook page/group with the request to clean up the pages and improve our reach. He as been doing a lot, to include automatic meeting reminders. Vote confirmed him as Facebook administrator. (closed)
