2. Millville Community Garden: James Morris is donating 2 boxes and a pallet. The garden would like to have only 1 active hive and 1⁄2 a pallet behind the fence. The city is supposed to build the fence soon. They hope to have the bees and hive set up and running by field day. (open)

3. Earth Day: 23 April 10-4. Set up at 9am at Oaks By The Bay Park at the end of Beck Ave. Amberleigh has a table and Skipper has a canopy. Amberleigh will be doing up seed packets with her girl scouts. Sam Mello is supposed to get her the seeds this week. She will be using the TBA logo. Amberleigh also has some kid’s packets. We will borrow the educational hive from Danny Bost and have an observation hive. Honey tasting/sales are requested. Honey sales were opened up to the membership. The only stipulation was that tasting needed to be included and a portion of sales was expected to be donated to the club. Charles Hay was the only member who wished to sell at earth day. He has 14 different kinds of honey for sale/tasting. (open)

4. Field Day: April 30th 10-3. We will have an open plan with people able to wander from booth to booth rather than have sit down presentations and people needing to pre-register. Mark will do extraction twice during the day at 11 and 1. We discussed having people bring at bottle and get some freshly extracted honey for a donation. Sam will talk to the city about donations. Others stated they have small bottles we could provide. We will have an equipment table with all the equipment laid out and people there to explain it-Tim Brehm will be in charge of this station. A smoker lighting table or a smoker lighting contest- James Morris will be in charge of this station. Learning Hive and Observation Hive will be one table-Stephen Revell will be in charge of this station. We will have an area for people to have a picnic lunch-Sam Mello says the city will be able to provide snacks for this. Open hive demonstration: James Morris will be in charge of this. There will be 2 sessions during the day. The area needs to be roped off and people may only enter with a beekeeper. Amberleigh Schmidt will be in charge of the kid’s activity table. Grady is willing to donate a 5 gallon bucket of crystallized honey. Sam Mello will post the event on social media feed, arrange for news coverage, Mommie’s group. We will consider having a raffle for things like a bee brush, hive tool etc. (open)

New Business:
1. Facebook Page: The question was asked who approves new members to our private facebook page? The secretary does this. There was some discussion about having a public page or information that anybody can obtain. Another question about dues paying vs non-dues paying members. Skipper Turk will work on this. (open)
2. Skipper asked for people to identify themselves as wishing to collect swarms. The secretary gets phone calls and messages regarding swarms and cutouts and passes them on to people on the swarm list on our website. Mark Wolf has previously stated he was willing to work with helping people collect swarms. (info)

No presentation today due to working on arranging earth day and field day. We did have a small Q&A
session as we had a lot of visitors and new members at this meeting.
