Meeting Minutes
Meeting was called to order at 1900.
Members present:
Skipper Turk (President), Mark Wolf (VP), Betsy Straley (MAL), Tim Brehm (Treasurer), Chris Liddle (Secretary), , Chris Mumpower, Stephen Revell, Clovis and Ron Greiner, Charles Hay, Buddy Rich, Jennifer Bowman, Tom Leisemeyer, Pat Bush, Jim Rish, Joseph Slay, James Morris
Secretary Report: Sep 2022 Minutes were sent out to general membership for review. No comments received. Minutes approved as written.
Treasurer Report: There was $1705.67 in the TBA account as of this meeting. Old Business:
1. Millville Community Garden: Chris Mumpower, Grady Stanley and Buddy Rich went to the community garden to assist. The supers are not ready for honey extraction. Sam is looking for a couple of hive stands if anybody has some to donate to the community garden. (open)
2. Extractor: We discussed setting up the extractor at James Morris’ place in Calhoun County (30-45” drive) or Mark Wolf’s place on 388. Membership wishes to let it ride until the spring in anticipation that people will want to start borrowing it. Extractor will remain at the secretary’s home and is available for loan. (open)
3. November elections: Mark Wolf wishes to step down as Vice President. James Morris accepted the nomination for VP. No other nominations for any other offices at this time. Skipper Turk accepts running for President, Betsey Straley accepts being member at large, Tim Brehm accepts being treasurer. Christine Liddle asked for someone else to consider being secretary, but did not say she would not accept another year of service. We will continue to accept nominations up until the November meeting.

New Business:
1. Christmas party: please start thinking about what you want to do for Christmas this year (open)
2. Chipola club will be having a mead making class on November 12th for anyone interested ($20). Bring your own honey. Contact Sunshine @ Marianna club or call Millie Bees for more information or to register. (info)
3. Secretary will bring new member information file to Skipper’s home for him to scan in. This will then be available to send to Fern for the website and to send to new members. (info)
Presentation: Skipper Turk presented websites and resources on the web for beekeepers. Florida Beekeeping Calendar. Bee source has resources online. Two Bees in a Podcast, Honeybee Research, & Extension. Honey Bee Suite. Beekeeping Hacks. Website talking about oxalic acid & glycerin on sponges. Lots of discussion on this topic. Some members plan to try it.

Board Meeting Minutes
Meeting was called to order at 1830.
Members present:

Minutes: Minutes of Sep 2022 sent to the board members/membership. No comments or corrections.
Approved as written.
Old Business:
1. Extractor: We discussed setting up the extractor at James Morris’ place in Calhoun County (30-45” drive). We also discussed setting it up at Mark Wolf’s place on 388. Will bring these ideas up to the membership. (open)
New Business:
1. Secretary receive NO nominations since the last meeting for any office. We will be accepting nominations for officers to be voted for January 2023. Voting will take place at the November 2022 meeting.
2. Payment for IFAS Building: It was proposed to pay for the the rest of 2022 and then pay the IFAS bill yearly, rather than each month. We will still take up donations. Unanimous. (closed)
